There were eight mining, quarrying, oil and gas extraction businesses in Alaska that had between 250 and 499 employees in 2016, according to County Business Patterns (CBP) statistics provided by the United States Census Bureau.

CBP data indicates that there are more establishments categorized as health care and social assistance businesses with between 250 and 499 employees in Alaska than in any other category.

The following table shows how many mining, quarrying, oil and gas extraction businesses with between 250 and 499 employees were in Alaska during the period from 2012 to 2016.
