Lake and Peninsula Borough ranked 24th in Alaska for resident earnings in 2018

Lake and Peninsula Borough ranked 24th among counties in Alaska by annual earnings per resident, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The median income of Lake and Peninsula Borough residents was $20,801 per year, adjusted for inflation. It had 425 households with a population of 1,375.

The county with the highest median resident income in the state was North Slope Borough with $50,084 per year after adjusting for inflation – $29,283 more than Lake and Peninsula Borough. It had 1,966 households with a population of 9,797.

The county with the lowest median resident income in the state was Northwest Arctic Borough with $18,781 per year after adjusting for inflation – $2,020 less than Lake and Peninsula Borough. It had 1,860 households with a population of 7,734.
