Interior Alaska will experience high winds with gusts of up to 70-75 mph in the upcoming days. Even with the fall-like weather conditions, outside burning is not recommended during these wind events because fires can spread and turn into a wildfire. #OneLessSpark is one less wildfire
There is a High Wind Warning Thursday-Friday for Delta Junction and Healy Areas of 40 mph winds with gusts up to 70-75 mph. There is also a Wind Advisory for the Middle Tanana Valley for 15-25 mph winds with gusts up to 40 mph.
