Hey #Alaska! Where you're standing, does it seem like we're getting ALL the snow?!
Heads-up for winter storm warnings in at least a few areas: #SouthwestAlaska, #Anchorage, #Homer, #Kodiak, #KenaiPeninsula, #Juneau, #SoutheastAlaska.
A few winter driving safety reminders:
Our crews are out plowing the roads. Please remember to give snowplows room to maneuver. Don't crowd the plow!
Headlights on!
Drive for conditions: drive slower, give yourself extra room to stop, and don't follow other vehicles too closely.
Give yourself extra time to reach your destination.
Check snow loads on boats.
Check small airplane tie-downs if high winds predicted.
