87.9% of Aleutians West Census Area residents old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 5,251 citizens living in Aleutians West Census Area in 2021, 87.9% were old enough to vote, equating to 4,616 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 2,663 were male, constituting 57.7%, and 1,953 were female, making up 42.3%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Aleutians West Census Area during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 75.2%.
