Unchanged number of lawyers with active licenses to practice in cities within Kodiak Island Borough in Q4 2024 compared to previous quarter

Cities in Kodiak Island Borough recorded no change in the number of lawyers with active licenses compared to the previous quarter, according to the Alaska Bar Association.

In total, there were 17 active legal licenses registered in cities within Kodiak Island Borough in the fourth quarter of 2024.

Alaska has no law schools, yet it maintains a higher-than-average ratio of lawyers compared to the relatively low overall population. In Alaska, there are now 2,486 attorneys actively practicing law and a total of 4,160 lawyers licensed to practice in the state.

As of November 2024, the average salary for a lawyer in Alaska was around $112,794 per year, above the national average.

Data refers to all lawyers who were actively practicing during this period.
