EDA awards the Native Village of Napaimute $800,000 grant on April 24, 2019

The US Economic Development Administration awarded the Native Village of Napaimute a grant worth $800,000 to help fund a project in Bethel Census Area.

The grant was awarded on April 24, 2019. The EDA describes the grant as follows:

"This EDA investment supports the acquisition of vital equipment needed to transport harvested wood products in Napaimute, Alaska. The project will assist the region with investing in its natural resources to spur economic growth in the wood products sector, which will lead to long-term economic diversification in the region."
