Southwest Alaska Department of Fish and Game recently issued the following announcement.
Join ADF&G Sports Fish and KBNERR to learn how to use ice fishing gear like the different rods, tackle, tip-ups, and ice augers. Bring warm clothes, snacks, and a bag or cooler to take fish home. A bucket to sit on and a sled to pull your gear across the lake are recommended. Ice fishing rods, tackle, bait, and hot chocolate will be provided. Holes will also be pre-drilled! People 18 years and older need a sport fishing license. This event is free and open to the public
