The Division of Forestry & Fire Protection’s Fairbanks-Delta Area is organizing its 2022 Timber Auction for Wednesday, December 21st. It will be a sealed bid auction, with bids opened publicly at 10 a.m. at the DNR Office, 3700 Airport Way, Fairbanks AK 99709.
DOF is proposing to offer 12 sales total: 6 in Fairbanks and 6 in Delta, ranging from 6 acres to 161 acres. These sales include a range of timber products: 6 spruce saw log sales, 5 birch/mixed fuel wood sales, and 1 fire-killed spruce fuel wood sale.
The public may also offer comments on the preliminary Forest Land Use Plan (FLUP) and Best Interest Finding (BIF) documents up until Dec. 9th.
